Tech Tips

This months "Tech Tips" will focus on how the Policy Team "recreates" your Standard Work documents to integrate them into the format we use on The PORT. This process allows us to create a web based version of your SW Google document that looks *almost* identical and includes the user friendly features that you find on many of the other PORT documents. We will also share some "friendly reminders" about how you can collaborate with us to make this a smooth process for all.

Featured Topic

Our featured topic this month is the Event Wagering and Fantasy Sports Contest Intercept Policy. We are featuring this policy because it is new and it introduces a new way in which the DCSS will be able to deliver support to Arizona families and we are excited about that.

In the Spotlight

The Policy team is currently working on a large scale review and revision of all DCSS Policies. Not only are we reviewing all of the policy documents for errors, formatting issues and broken links, we are also re-evaluating all of our policy statements, criteria and legal authorities. Our goal is to provide DCSS staff with the most accurate, thorough and up-to-date policies that we possibly can. In addition to this extensive review, we are also updating our Policy format and adding a numbering convention. Many of these changes are long overdue and we are happy to finally be able to put them in place.

The updated DCSS Policy format closely mirrors the DES Policy format. For a preview of the new format, check out the Event Wagering and Fantasy Sports Contest Intercept Policy. We believe that making this change will help to align our division level policy with DES agency level policy for a more cohesive delivery of information. Once all of the policies have been updated we will be moving on to the procedures. Stay tuned!
